The diagnostic equipment signals the following error: C1505 Steering angle sensor

This error is signalled if there is a short circuit at the CAn (supply or earth), if the sensor is damaged or not correctly fitted

		Results of the tests
	Connect the diagnostic equipment and check the operation of the steering angle sensor.To do this, enter the PARAMETERS ambient and display the STEERING ANGLE parameter: the values should increase when the steering wheel is turned in a clockwise direction (right) and decrease when it is turned in the opposite direction.	Continue to Step 3	Steering angle sensor operation faulty or non existent	Continue to Step 2
2	ELECTRICAL CHECKS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the ESP system supply voltage See E7023 ESP .Check the steering angle sensor wiring.Also check that there are no faults at the wiring	Continue to Step 3	Incorrect supply	Restore the correct supply, if necessary, replace the faulty components
		Continue to Step 3	Wiring faulty	Renew the wiring
3	STEERING ANGLE RECALIBRATION	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Using the diagnostic equipment, in ACTIVE DIAGNOSIS, carry out the STEERING ANGLE CALIBRATION, making sure that the outcome is successful	Continue to Step 4	The procedure is not successful	Replace the steering angle sensor Op. 3350E20
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Delete the errors using the diagnostic equipment.Carry out road to make the control unit check whether there are still errors present. Return to the workshop and check that the fault is no longer present using the diagnostic equipment.	End of diagnosis	The fault persists	Continue to Step 3
