Before proceeding with the operations of dismantling the side Air Bag module, the following preliminary operations must be carried out: - Turn the ignition key to the OFF position; - Disconnect the battery leads and insulate them; - Wait for 10 minutes before continuing.

Removing ( Refitting

) - 7045A24 squab knob - r r - 7045A52 squab rake adjustment device outer guard one lh or rh r r1. Lift up the lever and undo the fixing bolt underneath.2. Release the manually operated front seat height adjustment lever and remove it.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal. - 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R. - 7045A10 l/h or r/h front seat (one) - r+r - 7045A43 seat exterior guard - r rCompletely lower the cushion using the special lever.1. Separate the backrest cover surround (1c) along the sides (1a) and (1b) from the oddments pocket surround (1d).

1. Open the oddments pocket.

1. Working on the side Air Bag module side, release the backrest cover surround from the frame using a knife.

1. Open the safety device (1a) and disconnect the electrical connector (1b) for the side Air Bag module.

2. Undo the fixing bolt (2a) and disconnect the earth lead (2b) for the side Air Bag module.

Release the side Air Bag module electrical wiring from the retaining bands on the backrest frame and on the seat guide support.1. Open the contact holder and detach the electrical connector for the side Air Bag module.

Remove the electrical wiring for the side Air Bag module from the housing.

Refitting ( Removing

) Test the continuity of the side Air Bag module electrical wiring.Place the side Air Bag module electrical wiring in position and secure it to the seat guide support and to the backrest frame using new retaining bands. Position the side Air Bag module earth lead and tighten the fixing bolt. Connect the electrical connector for the side Air Bag module and close the safety device.

1. Side Air Bag module side, fit the backrest cover surround on the frame.Using a rubber hammer, make sure that the cover surround is correctly fitted on the frame flange.

Close the oddments pocket.1. Fit the backrest cover surround (1c) along the sides (1a) and (1b) onto the oddments pocket surround (1d).
