Removing ( Refitting ) - 7040L44 rear compartment scuff strip - r r - 7040H68 (ONE), TAILGATE HOUSING PILLAR TRIM LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R . - 7040H66 LEFT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R . - 7040H67 RIGHT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R . 1. Release the seal from the edge of the pillar side window.2. Position theprotection along the perimeter of the glass to protect the body paintwork.
1. Cut a section of harmonic wire about 50 cm long then, using pliers,
insert one end (1a) of the harmonic wire through the bead of sealant
(1b) which secures the window (1c). 2. Fix one end of the harmonic wire to the special retaining tool
(2a), inside the vehicle, and the other end to the traction handle
(2b) outside the vehicle.
1. The operator inside the car must press the end of the tool (1a)
on the bead of sealant (1b) at about 30 cm from the point where
the wire passes, whilst the other operator, outside the car, should
pull the handle (1c), following the window surround.
1. Remove the fixed glass from the housing.
Refitting

If necessary touch up the paintwork.Apply the special primer to the painted
panel in contact with the window.
The fixed rear window cannot be refitted because whilst the sealant is being cut the window seal is irreparably damaged. |
1. Use an air gun to extrude a bead of sealant arond the edge of
the window and proceed with the refitting.
