Removing ( Refitting ) Place the vehicle on a ramp. - 1016A10  sound-proofing cover - r + r - 5530B56  BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

 - 1072C44  exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r - 1048A32  sleeve from air cleaner to intake manifold - r + r - 1088D23  sleeve from thermostat to rigid pipe carrying fluid to pump - r r1. Disconnect the coolant return pipe from the heating system heat exchanger from the coolant pump rigid inlet pipe.2. Disconnect the electrical supply connections from the alternator.

3. Undo the bolts (3a) and remove the water pump rigid inlet pipe (3b), complete with gasket, after having released it from the alternator electrical wiring. Refitting ( Removing ) Place the water pump rigid inlet pipe, complete with gasket, back in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

Connect the alternator's electrical supply connections.

Connect the coolant return pipe from the heating system heater to the water pump rigid inlet pipe. - 1088D23  sleeve from thermostat to rigid pipe carrying fluid to pump - r r - 1048A32  sleeve from air cleaner to intake manifold - r + r - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r - 1072C44  exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+rConnect the battery's negative terminal.
