Removing ( Refitting )  - 5530B56  BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.Disconnect the battery negative terminal. - 7015A04  tailgate interior panel - r+r - 7015A58  internal tailgate moulding (one) - r+r - 7015B10  single tailgate lock - r+r or repair with panel/protection removed - 5550D16  third stop light - r+r - 7015B30  exterior handle or block support - r+r with panel/protection removed1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the rear wiper motor.

1. Disconnect the rear washer delivery pipe (1a) from jet (1b). Disconnect the electrical connections for the heated rear window.

Release the tail-gate electrical wiring from the retaining clips and place aside.1. Using a screwdriver, release the retaining springs (without removing them).2. Release and remove the telescopic strut.Carry out the same operations for the remaining telescopic strut. 1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tailgate (1b).

Carry out the tailgate removal operations with the aid of a second operator.

Place the tailgate on a suitable stand. Refitting ( Removing ) Check that the tailgate is undamaged.If necessary touch up the paintwork.Fit the tailgate and loosely tighten the hinge bolts, tailgate side, without tightening to torque.Refit the telescopic strut, press-fitting the ends of the anchoring pins in their seats, tailgate side.Re-arrange the tailgate electrical wiring and secure to the retaining clips on the tailgate.Connect the heated rear window electrical connections.

Connect the rear washer delivery pipe to the jet.Connect the rear wiper motor electrical connector.
