) Position the vehicle on a lift. Op. 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.Disconnect the negative battery terminal.Draw off the fuel from the tank using a special tool.1. Remove the protective cover (1a) to gain access to and loosen the nut (1b) tensioning the handbrake cables.

1. Remove the safety clip.2. Disconnect the handbrake control cable from the right rear brake caliper and from the bands.

1. Disconnect the rapid connectors (1a) and (1b) for the fuel supply and return pipea.

1. Remove the retaining clips (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove rear heat shield (1c).

1. Disconnect the fuel reflux pipe from the tank.2. Disconnect the tank fuel filler pipe.

1. Position a hydraulic jack with a suitable support under the fuel tank.2. Undo the bolts (2a) fixing the fuel tank support belts (2b).3. Gently lower the hydraulic jack until it is possible to access the electrical connection for the submerged pump then disconnect the actual connection.

4. Lower the hydraulic jack furhter and remove the fuel tank.

Refitting ( Removing

) Position the fuel tank on the supporting equipment.Raise the hydraulic jack slightly until the electrical connection for the submerged pump can be connected.

Raise the fuel tank and place in position.Tighten the bolts fixing fuel tank support belts to torque.

Remove the hydraulic jack and support from underneath the tank.Connect the tank fuel filler pipe.Connect the fuel reflux pipe to the tank.Fit the heat shield and tighten the bolts fixing it to the bodyshell.Position the heat shield fastening clips.Connect the fuel supply and return pipe rapid connectors.Fit the left and right fuel tank shields. 1076B42 TUBAZIONE DI SCARICO CENTRALE COMPLETA DI: RACCORDO FLESSIBILE - CONVERTITORE CATALITICO E SILENZIATORE CENTRALE - S.R.Connect the handbrake control cable to the right rear brake caliper and to the bands securing it using the safety clip.
