Current developments

These engines are fitted with a high pressure electronic injection system for fast diesel engines. This ''Bosch Common Rail EDC-16C8'' system is fully managed by an electronic control unit.

Services provided

This engine is capable of providing the following performances:

  • max power 85 kW CEE at 4000 rpm;
  • max torque 275 Nm CEE at 2000 rpm

SYSTEM DETAILS

Devices adopted

To reduce polluting emission levels, these engines are equipped with:

  • exhaust system with oxidising catalytic converter;
  • E.G.R. exhaust gas recirculation system with heat exchanger
  • crankcase blowby gas recirculation system.

COMPOSITION

STRUCTURE

The unit is a system made up of the engine and all circuits required for its operation:

  • fuel supply system;
  • air turbocharging system;
  • engine cooling system;
  • exhaust system with catalytic converter;
  • oil vapour recirculation system;
  • E.G.R. exhaust gas recirculation system with heat exchanger;
  • anti-splash exclusion system.

CONSTRUCTION

Direct injection turbodiesel engine without ante-chambers, 4 cylinders in line, 1910 cc, twin mass flywheel, four valves per cylinder with hydraulic tappets, twin overhead camshaft with transmission of power by gears, variable geometry turbocharger and intercooler, Bosch Common Rail EDC-16C8 electronic injection system.
