Functional description

The Body Computer M1 receives the ''door open'' input signals at pin 8 (driver''s door), pin 25 (front passenger''s door), pin 16 (rear left door), 25 (passener front door) and pin 26 (rear right door) of connector E.Both front courtesy light G10 and G20 are supplied by a direct line protected by fuse F39 of underfacia control unit B2;Front courtesy light G10 is controlled by Body Computer M1 : pin 28 of connector E of M1 receives an analogue control signal from three buttons on the courtesy light (ON/OFF); as a result the Body Computer M1 supplies the courtesy lights G10 , providing a timed earth signal from pin 21. According to the battery voltage control logic (''SBMT'') described previously, the go ahead signals for the two map reading lights arrive from pins 30 and 37, connector E.Rear courtesy light G20 is controlled by driver side door control units M66 and passenger side unit M67 : pin 12 of connector B receives a control signal from buttons on the courtesy light, while pin 14 sends a power supply to the lights of G20 .The Body Computer M1 is connected, via the CAN line, to the instrument panel E50 , from which it receives the ''inertia switch operated'' signal which lights up the courtesy lights and sends a signal which, if necessary, can light up the ''doors open'' warning light.
