3363150 - 5580C12 clock spring for air bag module on steering wheel r r

Removing ( Refitting ) Position the steering wheel so that the wheels are as parallel as possible to the longitudinal axis of the car. - 5530B56  BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
This operation must NOT be carried out fully if a VDC system is fitted, apart from disconnection of the clock spring junction electrical connector.
 - 5580C18  air bag module - r+r
Before working on the Air Bag system, follow the safety instructions for working on the system very carefully (  See assembly 5580C   air bag system ).
- 4110A16 steering wheel - r r for replacement or checks for versions with airbag and manual gearbox with hydraulic selection
The clock spring is fitted with a device which automatically stops its rotation when it is removed from the steering wheel. Avoid forcing its rotation.
 - 7040A26  steering column trim - r+r1. Undo the bolt securing the clock spring to the stalk unit.2. Disconnect the clock spring junction electrical connector.

3. Remove the clock spring.
Refitting ( Removing ) Check that the wheel position is unchanged in relation to the part removal stage.
When fiiting new parts, keep the wheels as far as possible parallel to the car's longitudinal axis.
Before installing a new clock spring, remove the rotation lock device. The clock spring must be replaced if the upper clock spring plate has to be rotated in relation to the lower plate.
Position the clock spring and secure to the stalk unit by means of the retaining bolts.Connect the clock spring junction electrical connector.
