The air capacity chamber is made from aluminium. It receives pressurised air cooled by the intercooler and carries it directly to the cylinder head.There is a throttle casing at the air chamber inlet, operated by the injection control unit.In order to limit the shuddering of the engine whilst is is switching off, the injection control unit closes the throttle whilst in all other operating conditions the throttle remains open.The excess pressure and intake air temperature sensor is fitted on the chamber.
