Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.Place a container to collect the oil beneath the oil sump.1. Unscrew the drain plug and collect the oil in the container.

The used engine oil and the filter that has been replaced contain substances that are dangerous to the environment.The oil and the filters should be deposited in specially designed containers.

1. Undo the nuts fixing the heat shield to the water-oil heat exchanger.2. Remove the heat shield from the water-oil heat exchanger. 1. Undo and remove the engine oil cartridge filter. Refitting ( Removing ) Replace the metal gasket with another with the same size and profile.Fit the drain plug into the threaded seat on the sump and tighten to torque.

Tighten the oil filter lubricating the gasket with engine oil.
