Make sure that the gearbox is neutral.

Turn the ignition ON.Carry out the Selespeed hydraulic circuit depressurisation procedure using an Examiner tester. 1. Disconnect the electrical connection on the hydraulic selection system pump.

Disconnect the negative and positive terminals and remove the battery. - 1056B82 injection/ignition system e.c.u. (one) - r + r - 1048A31 RIGID PIPE between air filter and intake manifold - R.R.1. Disconnect the electrical connections of the solenoids (1a), (1b) and (1c).

2. Disconnect the electrical connector for the oil pressure sensor.

3. Disconnect the electrical connection of the gear selection solenoid.

Disconnect the electrical connector for the clutch position sensor.

1. Disconnect the semi-rigid pressurised fluid supply pipe from the connector on the selection solenoid on the hydraulic actuation unit.2. Disconnect the rigid pressurised fluid pipe from the connector on the actuation hydraulic unit to the clutch actuator.3. Disconnect the fluid discharge hose.

1. Undo the bolts securing the actuation hydraulic unit mounting bracket to the gearbox unit.2. Disconnect the semi-rigid pipes for oil supply (2b) and pressurised oil (2c) to the engagement solenoids and the semi-rigid supply pipe for pressurised oil to the pump (2a). 3. Remove the clutch actuation hydraulic unit and selection device.

When disconnecting the clutch actuation hydraulic unit and selection device, take the greatest care not to turn the device during removal.

Refitting ( Removing

)

Ensure the gearbox is in neutral and the speed selection rods are aligned.

With the hydraulic actuation unit on the bench, move the control rod fully back.Position the engagement mechanism centrally.Align the key with the engagement control pointer.

Misalignment between the key and the engagement control pointer could cause the hydraulic speed shift unit to malfunction and make it impossible to withdraw and/or correctly position the unit.

Fit the clutch actuation hydraulic unit and selection device.Connect the semi-rigid supply pipe for pressurised oil to the pump and the semi-rigid supply pipes for pressurised oil to the engagement solenoids.Tighten to torque the bolts securing the hydraulic unit controlling gear/clutch electrohydraulic selection.Connect the oil discharge hose.Connect the rigid pressurised oil supply pipe from the connector on the hydraulic unit to the clutch actuator.Connect the semi-rigid supply pipe for pressurised oil from the connector on the selection solenoid on the hydraulic unit.Connect the electrical connection for the clutch position sensor.
