3363726 - E2011 DIPPED HEADLAMPS - Functional description

Functional description

The dipped headlamps activation signal is sent to pin 4 of connector I of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unit H5. The 'ignition ON' signal (INT) for the switch H1 reaches the underdashboard control unit B2 at pin 11 of connector H and from there moves on to the Body Computer M1 (pin 9 of connector F). The dipped beams are active even if dusk sensor K85 is present (signal to pin 7 of connector D of M1) , and AUTO function is set on stalk unit H5 (signal to pin 2 of connector I of M1). Dusk sensor K85 is supplied from the INT line protected by fuse F49 of control unit B2; The Body Computer M1 controls the supply of the dipped headlamps sending an earth signal to the underdashboard control unit B2 - from pin 8 of connector F of M1 - which energizes the relay T1: this supplies the dipped headlamps F10 (left) and F11 (right). Each circuit is protected by a control unit B2 fuse: F13 for the left headlamp and F12 for the right one.
