Description

The system for opening the roof comprises 5 glass panels which, when closed, allow the intake of outside light and when open allow the roof housing to open.Operation is achieved by turning the control knob in a clockwise direction selecting one of the 6 opening positions available.The sun roof has an electrically operated sun blind controlled by two special buttons: it has the function of protecting from excessive rays of the sun.

the opening of the glass panels affects the opening of the blind which mirrors the opening of the actual panels.

The blind is opened by pressing the button, but can never be below the opening of the glass panels.The electronic roof control circuit also includes an antipinch function: when the roof is closing, the momvement is interrupted and reversed for about 10 cm if an obstacle is detected by means of a Hall effect sensor located on the motor.This function may, however, be excluded for safety reasons by pressing the knob as described above.The circuit is controlled by the services relay and protected by two fuses, all located in the junction unit under the dashboard.The movement takes place with the ignition ON or OFF.With the ignition ON it takes in accordance with the modes defined above; in addition during starting this relay is temporarily deactivated.If the ignition is switched OFF, the Body Computer keeps the relay activated for 3 minutes, but deactivates it immediately when one of the two front doors is opened.The roof is automatically closed - it it has been left open - through the special prolonged (more than 3 seconds) command sent by the remote control button, if the ignition is OFF.The remote control receiver aerial is connected directly to the Body Computer which contains the actual electronics for the receiver.
