3363779 - E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR - Functional description (Xenon Gas headlamps)

Functional description

The dipped beam activation signal is sent to pin 4 of connector D of the Body Computer M1 from the stalk unit H5 . The Body Computer M1 controls the supply to the dipped beam headlamps, sending an earth signal to the unit under the dashboard B2 - from pin 8 of connector F of M1 - which energizes the relay T1; this supplies the dipped beam headlamps and gives enablement to the headlamp adjustment motors F10 (left) and F11 (right). The two electronic circuits inside headlamps F10 (left) and F11 (right) are supplied - pin 9 - from the INT line protected by fuse F37 of control unit B2 . Pins 12 are both control units are interconnected, while 10 of the control unit inside headlamp F10 receives a speedometer signal from Body Computer M1 (pin 28 of connector B). Headlamp F10 contains built-in headlamp alignment control unit M73 , connected to two sensors (potentiometers) that record ride at front K1 and rear K2 . The headlamp electronic circuits use these signals to automatically adjust the light beam by means of a motor.
