Position the vehicle on a two column lift.
If the area where the noise is coming from has been located, first check the fastenings in this area, otherwise follow the order indicated.
1. Using a torque wrench calibrated at the recommended figure, check that the upper shock absorber buffer is tightened to the recommended torque.1. M12 Nut (on upper turret): 6 daNm
Raise the vehicle and check that the various front suspension fastenings are correctly tightened.2. Using a torque wrench calibrated at the recommended figure, check that the fastenings between the shock absorber and the steering knuckle (2a) and between the shock absorber and the anti-roll bar (2b and 2c) are tightened to torque. 2a. M10 Bolt (on steering knuckle): 7.5 daNm2b. M10 Nut (on shock absorber): 5.1 daNm2c. M10 x 1.25 Nut (on shock absorber mounting connecting rod): 5 daNm
3. Using a torque wrench calibrated at the recommended figure, check that the fixing nut between the power assisted steering box rod and the front steering knuckle is tightened to torque.3. M10 Nut (on power assisted steering box rod): 3.8 daNm
4. Using a torque wrench calibrated at the recommended figure, check that the fastenings between the track control arm and the front steering knuckle (4a) and between the track control arm and the crossmember (4b) are tightened to torque.4a. M10 Bolt (on front steering knuckle): 7 daNm4b. M12 x 1.25 Bolt (on crossmember): 10.5 daNm 4c. M14 x 1.5 (on bodyshell): 15 daNm
5. Using a torque wrench calibrated at the recommended figure, check that the fixing bolts between the bar and the crossmember are tightened to torque.5: M8 Bolt on crossmember 2.5 daNm6. Using a torque wrench calibrated at the recommended figure, check that the fastenings between the bar and the crossmember are tightened to torque.6: M12 x 1.25 Bolt on power assisted steering box 8.5 daNm
