Removing ( Refitting ) Place the car on a ramp. - 5530B56  BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.Disconnect the battery negative terminal. - 7055B42  Additional FRONT WHEEL ARCH (one), left or right - R.R.1. Loosen the lower alternator retaining nuts.Lower the lift.2. Loosen the alternator upper nut.Rotate the alternator clockwise and remove the belt. Refitting ( Removing )

Check belt condition. In particular, check for tears, cracks, surface wear and dry or hard parts that could lead to loss of grip. Change the belt if one of these defects is noted.

Fit the new alternator drive belt on the pullies.Rotate the alternator anticlockwise and secure it with the retaining bolts. - 1092B64  alternator drive belt - adjust tension - 7055B42  Additional FRONT WHEEL ARCH (one), left or right - R.R.Connect the battery negative terminal. - 5530B56  BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R. . Remove the vehicle from the ramp.
