Operational description

The basic Cruise Control function is managed by the engine management control unit M10 by the special Cruise Control command H7 located to the left of the steering wheel. The control H7 receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) pin 2 from the line protected by fuse F35 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2 .

The control H7 is connected to control unit M10:

  • at pin 33 of connector A, with the ON/OFF signal
  • at pin 17 of connector A, with the RESUME signal
  • at pin 41 of connector A, with the SET + signal
  • at pin 21 of connector A, with the SET - signal
The adaptive Cruise Control is controlled by the special control unit M87 and receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) pin 12 from the line protected by fuse F35 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2 .Pin 1 is earthed and the diagnostic K line leaves from pin 11 and the CAN line from pins 2 and 4.Pin 39 receives the headway control signal from the Cruise Control H7The control unit M10 also uses the "pedal released" signals (N.C. contact) coming from the second brake lights switch contact I30 and the signal coming from the clutch switch I31 to manage the Cruise Control function.     See E5030 PETROL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTThe engine management control unit M10 is connected to the Body Computer M1 and to the instrument panel E50, via the CAN line, to manage the "Cruise Control on" warning light and the "adapative Cruise Control failure" functon.
