) Position the vehicle on a lift. Op. 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. 1048A32 MANICOTTO da filtro aria a collettore aspirazione - S.R. 1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the engine coolant temperature sensor.

2. Disconnect the radiator coolant supply and return hoses from the thermostat.

Collect the coolant that comes out in a suitable container.

3. Disconnect the supply reservoir coolant return pipe from the thermostat.4. Disconnect the heater coolant supply pipe from the thermostat.5. Disconnect the water pump coolant supply hose from the thermostat.6. Undo the bolt (6a) and move the electrical wiring mounting bracket (6b).7. Undo the nuts (7a) and remove the thermostat unit (7b) complete with gasket.

Refitting ( Removing

) Place the thermostat unit complete with gasket back in its housing and secure it by tightening the nuts to the recommended torque.

Place the electrical wiring mounting bracket in its housing and secure it to the thermostat using the bolt.Connect the water pump coolant return hose to the thermostat.Connect the heater coolant supply pipe to the thermostat.Connect the supply reservoir coolant return pipe to the thermostat.Connect the radiator coolant supply and return hoses to the thermostat.Connect the electrical connection for the engine coolant temperature sensor.
