3363761 - E3030 HEATED REAR WINDSCREEN AND DOOR MIRROR DEFROSTING - Functional description
Functional description
The heated rear windscreen relay T11, located in the underdashboard
control unit
B2
, controls the simultaneous activation of
the defrosting function for both the heated rear windscreen
P55
- line protected by fuse F40 - and the defrosting coils for the
rearscreen washer
O50
and
051
- line protected by
fuse F41.
The supply for the coil for relay T11 is
'controlled by the ignition' (INT/A) and is energized by an earth
signal coming from the Body Computer
M1
- pin 6 of connector
F; this signal is sent according to the complex control logic described
previously and, in particular, when a signal arrives - at pin 32
of connector G of
M11 -
from the heated rear windscreen
button pressed or MAX-DEF function on;
This signal comes from climate control unit
H80
,
which receives the feedback signal for activation of the relevant
led - from pin 21 of connector H of
M1
-.
This signal comes from climate control system
ECU
M70
, and is returned to the same ECU. the feedback signal
for activation of the relevant led via CAN line.
Activation of door mirror demister coils
P60
and
P61
is controlled by driver side door control unit
M66
and passenger door control unit
M67
, connected via the CAN
line to Body Computer
M1
.
Control units
M66
and
M67
are supplied at pin 11 of connector D - from a line protected by
fuse F32 of underfacia control unit
B2
On the basis of the complex strategy described
previously, the demister acivation control is sent via the CAN network
also to the two door control units that control the coils in the mirrors
P60
and
P61
- from pins 7 and 9 of connector E of
M66
and
M67
.
The low outside temperature signal, which
switches on the automatic defrosting, detected by a sensor inside
the external rear view mirror
P60
, also reaches the driver
door control unit
M66 -
pin 2 and 6 of connector E
-
via
the CAN line.
