Note that the gearbox fluid level under factory specifications is always below the inspection hole, up to approximately 20 mm. The gearbox fluid level only needs checking in the event of lost external seal and repairs to the gearbox. Top up if necessary.

1. Undo the gearbox oil level check plug.- Check that the level of the oil just touches the lower edge of the inspection hole.

1. If necessary, unscrew the filler plug and top up with specified oil until this emerges from the inspection hole.

1. Tighten the filler cap to the recommended torque.
