Removing ( Refitting )
The following procedure describes removal/refitting of the right drive shaft, do the same for the left drive shaft.
- Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 4450B04 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL - R.R1. Remove front hub cap (1a) using the tool (1b).

1. Undo nut (1a) securing the right front drive shaft to the wheel hub using tool (1b) for countertorque.

2. Unscrew the nut securing the steering link to the right front stub axle.
1. Disconnect steering link (1a) from the right front stub axle using tool (1b).

1. Unscrew bolt (1a) and disconnect the lower wishbone (1b) from the right front stub axle.
Do not use expansion tools to disconnect the lower wishbone from the front stub axle.
1. Use the tool to move the drive shaft back from the wheel hub.

1. Remove the right drive shaft from the intermediate drive shaft and remove.2. Remove the safety ring on the intermediate shaft using a screwdriver.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Refit a new safety ring in its seat on the intermediate shaft.- Lubricate the intermediate drive shaft and right drive shaft mating surfaces with transmission fluid.- Connect the right driveshaft to the intermediate driveshaft.
Fit the drive shaft until the safety ring locks. Take care not to spoil the teeth.
- Refit the drive shaft in its seat on the wheel hub and secure by screwing in a new nut without tightening.1. Connect lower wishbone (1a) to the right front stub axle and tighten a new bolt (1b) to the specified torque.

1. Tighten nut (1a) securing the right front drive shaft to the wheel hub using tool (1b) for countertorque.

- Reift a new front hub cap in its seat using the appropriate tool.2. Connect the steering links (2a) to the right front steering knuckles and tighten the nut (2b) to the specified torque.
