RESETTING CONTROL UNIT MEMORY (initialisation)

Movement of the sun-roof and blind is controlled by an electronic control unit housed in the casing integral with the motor. These control units process signals from the selector and also control the antipinch function during closure.Repeat the initialisation procedure whenever the power is cut off during roof operation (no power from battery) or when repairs are carried out on the control units and/or roof movement devices. The initialisation procedure is described below.

Sunroof initialisation procedure:

- turn the ignition key to the ON position;- turn the selector fully left (anticlockwise);- press the selector and hold it down until the roof locks mechanically;- release the selector;- press the selector again within 5 seconds and hold down. After a few seconds, the roof will perform a full automatic cycle.During this stage, the selector must be held down. After the roof has stopped, release the selector so that initialisation is completed. The roof selector is in 0 position (closed) at this time. Now turn it to the required position.

Blind initialisation procedure:

- turn the ignition key to the ON position;- move the roof to fully closed position (if the antipinch device coninues to operate, force the roof closed by moving the selector to closed position);- release the selector;- press the selector again within 5 seconds and hold down. After a few seconds, the roof will perform a full automatic cycle.During this stage, the selector must be held down. After the roof has stopped, release the selector so that initialisation is completed. The blind is in closed position at this time. Now turn the selector to the required position.
