Removing ( Refitting )
The following procedure describes the removing-refitting of the left rear suspension longitudinal achorage strut, carry out the same operations for the right rear suspension longitudinal anchorage strut.
- Position the vehicle on a lift.1. Release the handbrake cable from the brackets.
1. Release the electrical wiring for the rear wheel rpm sensor from the fastening.
1. Position a hydraulic jack to support the rear wheel stub axle.2. Undo the bolt fixing the rear suspension shock absorber to the stub axle.
1. Undo the bolts fixing the rear suspension anchorage strut to the bodyshell.2. Undo the bolts fixing the rear suspension longitudinal anchorage strut to the stub axle.
Lower the hydraulic jack.
3. Remove the rear suspension longitudinal anchorage strut.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Clean the nuts fixing the rear suspension anchorage strut to the bodyshell.1. Place the rear suspension longitudinal anchorage strut in its housing.2. Screw in the new bolts fixing the rear suspension anchorage strut to the stub axle without tightening them.3. Screw in the new bolts fixing the rear suspension anchorage strut to the bodyshell without tightening them.
1. Tighten the bolt fixing the rear suspension shock absorber to the stub axle to the recommended torque.

2. Remove the hydraulic jack.
- Secure the electrical wiring for the rear wheel rpm sensor using the fastening.- Secure the handbrake cable using the brackets.- Place the vehicle in design conditions    Op. 4450A40 REAR WHEEL GEOMETRY - CHECK USING OPTICAL EQUIPMENT, INCLUDES ADJUSTMENT IF NECESSARYto tighten the bolts fixing the rear suspension longitudinal anchorage strut.
This operation is used to avoid torsional preloading of the flexible bushes.
1. Tighten the new bolts fixing the rear suspension anchorage strut to the stub axle to the recommended torque.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
