The bodyshell windows, the bonded windscreen and rearscreen and side windows, increase the structural strength of the bodyshell and improve the safety level of the vehicle in addition to greatly reducing aerodynamic noise.
WINDSCREEN
The windscreen is the heat-proof stratified type with acoustic PVB, comprising two layers of glass with a sheet of acoustic plastic material in between. This conformation prevents the layers of glass from shattering if there is any stone chipping maintaining visibility and, above all, guaranteeing a high degree of protection in the case of a head impact,The windscreen has a perimeter band, in the area that overlaps with the bodyshell, serigraphed in black. The windscreen contains the following: the rain/dusk sensor, stuck near the base of the electro-chromic interior rear view mirror mounting and the solar sensor (on versions with automatic climate control) located at the top of the dashboard at the base of the windscreen.
REARSCREEN
The rearscreen, made from non stratified tempered glass, is bonded to the tailgate structure. The inner surface of the rearscreen contains a series of defrosting rheophores. The connection of the rheophore to the electrical system takes place by means of two terminals, located on the left and right sides of the actual rearscreen. In the area where it overlaps with the tailgate structure, the rearscreen has a black serigraphed area.
FIXED SIDE WINDOWS
The fixed side windows, made from heat-proof tempered glass, are bonded to the bodywork. On the side of the windows corresponding to the centre pillar, there is a pressed seal which, with the door closed, prevents turbulence and wind noise. In the area where they are matched with the structure, the side windoes have a black serigraphed area.
