1Insert the key in the key reader device and check that the wheel lights up to indicate that the B-CAN network is active.Check that the steering is released.Restore B-Can continuity    See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES
2Connect the diagnostic tester to the TEG Reader node.Insert the key in the reader and ensure the system recognises the key.The test can be considered overReplace the key and store it in the Teg Reader node.Move on to Step 3
3With the diagnostic instrument in Voltmeter mode, connect the positive probe to ignition Pin 6 and the negative to earth.    See H003 IGNITION DEVICECheck that there is a 12 Volt voltage present.Replace the key recognition deviceOp. 5505A31 ELECTRONIC KEY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT DEVICE - R. R.
4Disconnect the wiring from the device connector    See H003 IGNITION DEVICEConnect the diagnostic instrument in Ohmmeter mode with the probe between Pin 6 of the device and earth    See H003 IGNITION DEVICECheck for the presence of a resistance less than 1 Ohm.Reset the earth connection of the right facia area    See E1020 EARTHS
