	Operate the backrest adjustment knob without resting your back against the backrest and check whether the hardness persists.	End of diagnosis	1. Hardness disappears	1. Explain to the customer that the adjustment should be carried out without resting their back on the backrest.

	Check for interference with the cover (knob on cover).	Move on to Step 2	Presence of interference at the knob on the cover.	Remove the interference and check that the regulator is working properly.
2	CHECKS ON THE SEAT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Remove the seat from the vehicle    Op. 7045A10 FRONT SEAT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.remove the side cauterization (left and right), release the joints and check for the presence of paint lumps and/or machining residues	Move on to Step 3	Presence of paint lumps and/or machining residues.	Eliminate the foreign bodies, lubricate and run in with at least five complete operating cycles.

	Check that the phasing of the backrest adjusters is correct by moving the backrest.	Move on to Step 4	The backrest moves with a sinusoidal movement	Partly release the joint connecting rod (removing the washer fitted on the rod) and rephase the adjusters.
