STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from the air flow meter.Turn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage between pin 1 of the meter    See K041 AIR FLOW METERand the earth is greater than 11 V.Move on to Step 3Move on to Step 2
2If faults are found, restore the wiring between the engine compartment junction unit and the flow meter    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTReplace it if necessary.The test can be considered overReplace the junction unit    Op. 5505A13 ADDITIONAL JUNCTION UNIT IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT - R.R.
3Check that the voltage between pins 1 and 2 of the meter    See K041 AIR FLOW METERReplace the wiring if necessary.is greater than 11 V.Move on to Step 5Move on to Step 4
4If faults are found, restore the wiring between the engine control unit and the debimeter    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTReplace it if necessary.The test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
5Check that the voltage between pin 3 of the meter    See K041 AIR FLOW METERand earth is between 4.8 and 5.2 VMove on to Step 4
6Replace the flow meter    Op. 1060G10 AIR FLOW METER - R.R.Repair the original flow meter and replace the engine management control unit.    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
