194003933 - 1080BF CHECK DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR OPERATION

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Check whether error P2455 - Differential pressure sensor - is present using the diagnostic equipmentReplace differential pressure sensor    Op. 1080B82 PARTICULATE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE (D.P.F.) SENSOR - R R
2Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the FAP differential pressure sensor.Turn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage across pin 1 and 2 of the sensor    See K187 FAP DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSORis greater than 4.8 V.Move on to Step 4Move on to Step 3
3If faults are found, restore the wiring between the engine control unit and the downstream temperature sensor    See E5070 PARTICLE FILTER SYSTEMReplace the wiring if necessary. The test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
4On the diagnostic tester, check whether the differential pressure sensor voltage parameter is between 4.8 and 5.2 VMove on to Step 3
5Connect a shunt cable with a fuse between sensor Pin 3    See K187 FAP DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSORand the earth. On the diagnostic tester, check whether the differential pressure sensor voltage parameter is less than 0.3 VMove on to Step 3
6Replace differential pressure sensor    Op. 1080B82 PARTICULATE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE (D.P.F.) SENSOR - R R
