194003935 - 1080BH DPF INPUT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OPERATION CHECK

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Check whether error P2084 - Temperature sensor on particulate filter input - is present using the diagnostic equipmentReplace the temperature sensor    Op. 1080B83 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR ON PARTICULATE FILTER (D.P.F.) - R R
2Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from the particle filter temperature sensor downstream of the catalytic converterTurn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage across pin 1 and 2 of the sensor    See K190 DOWNSTREAM PARTICULATE FILTER TEMPERATURE SENSOR (DPF)is greater than 4.8 V.Move on to Step 4Move on to Step 3
3If faults are found, restore the wiring between the engine control unit and the downstream temperature sensor    See E5070 PARTICLE FILTER SYSTEMReplace the wiring if necessary. The test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
4Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the resistance across pin 1 and 2 of the sensor    See K190 DOWNSTREAM PARTICULATE FILTER TEMPERATURE SENSOR (DPF)is between 200 and 600 OhmReplace the temperature sensor    Op. 1080B83 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR ON PARTICULATE FILTER (D.P.F.) - R R
5Replace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
