CHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Press the START/STOP button and turn off the engine.Disconnect the cable loom connector from the linear sensor (for the climate control system)    See K120 LINEAR SENSOR FOR FANSPress the START/STOP button.Measure the voltage between Pin 2 of the wiring side connector and Earth, checking it is within the range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.Move on to Step 7Move on to Step 2
2Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from the accelerator pedal potentiometer    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERTurn the ignition key ON.Measure the voltage between Pin 2 of the sensor and Earth, checking it is within the range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.    See K120 LINEAR SENSOR FOR FANSMove on to Step 5Move on to Step 6
3Disconnect the cable loom connector from the air flow meter and repeat the measurement, checking the voltage is in the range between 4.8 and 5.2 V    See K041 AIR FLOW METERMove on to Step 6
4If faults are present, repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the flow meter and the engine management control unit.    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTThe test can be considered overReplace the flow meter    Op. 1060G10 AIR FLOW METER - R.R.

7Measure the voltage between Pins 1 and 2 of the sensor, checking it is within the range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.    See K120 LINEAR SENSOR FOR FANSMove on to Step 10Move on to Step 8
8Press the START/STOP button.Disconnect from the air flow meter    See K041 AIR FLOW METERPress the START/STOP button.Measure the voltage between Pins 1 and 2 of the sensor, checking it is within the range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.    See K120 LINEAR SENSOR FOR FANSMove on to Step 6

10Display the A/C Pressure parameter (conditioned air) and check it is less than 0.3 VMove on to Step 6
