194002952 - 1060EB FLOW MODULATOR SOLENOID OPERATION CHECK

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from the flow modifying solenoid valveTurn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage between pin 6 of the solenoid    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVEand the earth is greater than 11 V.Move on to Step 4Move on to Step 2
Turn the ignition key OFF.In the engine compartment junction unitremove fuse F11 (third from the right in the bottom row).Turn the ignition key ON.Check the voltage between the inlet contact of fuse F11 and earth. Ensure it is greater than 11 VReplace the junction unit    Op. 5505A13 ADDITIONAL JUNCTION UNIT IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT - R.R.
If faults are found, restore the wiring between the junction unit and the solenoid    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTIf necessary, replace the wiring. The test may be considered overReplace the junction unit    Op. 5505A13 ADDITIONAL JUNCTION UNIT IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT - R.R.
Check that the voltage between pins 6 and 2 of the solenoid    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVEis greater than 11 V.Move on to Step 6Move on to Step 5
If faults are found, restore the wiring between the engine managment control unit and the solenoid    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTReplace the wiring if necessaryThe test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from engine management control unit connector BTurn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage between pin 45 of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUand the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the solenoid    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the voltage between pin 45 of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUand the earth is more than 500 kOhmRepair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the solenoid    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Check that the voltage between pin 45 of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUand pin 1 of the solenoid    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVEis less than 5 OhmRepair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the solenoid    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Turn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage between pin 35 of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUand the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the solenoid    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the voltage between pin 35 of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUand the earth is more than 500 kOhmRepair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the solenoid    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Check that the voltage between pin 35 of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUand pin 5 of the solenoid    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVEis less than 5 OhmRepair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the solenoid    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Replace the flow by-pass solenoidOp. 1060E20 FUEL -R.R. CUT-OFF SOLENOID VALVEand check the fault has disappearedRestore the original solenoid valve and replace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
