Proceed as follows on the injector presumed to be faulty.

STEP	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	RESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1	Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from engine control unit connector BTurn the ignition key ON.Check that the resistance between Earth and: Pin 16 of the control unit for injector 1     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 2 of the control unit for injector 2     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 1 of the control unit for injector 3     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 17 of the control unit for injector 4     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITis less than 0.3 V	Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
2	Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the resistance between Earth and: Pin 16 of the control unit for injector 1     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 2 of the control unit for injector 2     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 1 of the control unit for injector 3     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 17 of the control unit for injector 4     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITis greater than 500 kOhmMove on to Step 6	Move on to Step 3
3	Disconnect the cable loom connector from the injector.Check that the resistance between Earth and: Pin 16 of the control unit for injector 1     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 2 of the control unit for injector 2     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 1 of the control unit for injector 3     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 17 of the control unit for injector 4     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITis greater than 500 kOhm	Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
4	Check that the resistance between Earth and: Pin 47 of the control unit for injector 1     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 31 of the control unit for injector 2     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 46 of the control unit for injector 3     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 33 of the control unit for injector 4     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITis greater than 500 kOhm	Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
5	Replace the injectorThe test can be considered over
6	Disconnect the cable loom connector from the injector.Check that the resistance between: Pin 16 and 47 of the control unit for injector 1     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 2 and 31 of the control unit for injector 2     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 1 and 46 of the control unit for injector 3     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 17 and 33 of the control unit for injector 4     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITis greater than 500 kOhm	Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring of the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
7	Check that the resistance between pin 1 of the injector    See N070 INJECTORand: Pin 16 of the control unit for injector 1     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 2 of the control unit for injector 2     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 1 of the control unit for injector 3     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 17 of the control unit for injector 4     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITis less than 5 Ohm	Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
8	Check that the resistance between pin 2 of the injector    See N070 INJECTORand: Pin 47 of the control unit for injector 1     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 31 of the control unit for injector 2     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 46 of the control unit for injector 3     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNIT Pin 33 of the control unit for injector 4     See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITis less than 5 Ohm	Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
9	Check that the resistance between pin 1 and 2 of the injector    See N070 INJECTORis between 0.3 and 0.7 Ohm	Replace the injector
10	Carry out a visual check on the condition of the injector and connector pipes to ensure it is okay	Replace the faulty component
