DescriptionConnector
-Brake pedal switch    See I030 BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH
- Rotate the brake pedal switch and remove it. Refitting ( Removing ) - Press the brake pedal then place the brake lights switch in its housing rotating it clockwise/anti-clockwise until the retaining tooth can be heard to click in the special housing in the bracket.- Release the brake pedal and pull it backwards to place the brake servo push rod in the fully released position.
The above is necessary because if the switch is not correctly retracted it could keep the brake pedal in an advanced position with the risk of residual torque at the wheels that could cause damage to the braking system.
- Check that there is clearance between the end of the switch and the contact plate at the brake pedal.- Connect the electrical connection to the brake pedal switch.- Connect the negative battery terminal.- Check that the brake lights are off with the brake pedal released in rest position.
