194001418 - E3020 WINDSCREEN WASH/WIPE - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The electronic device inside the steering column switch unit H005 and the controls on the right lever receive a power supply at pin 11 of connector A from the line controlled by relay T12 protected by fuse F43, both housed in the junction unit under the dashboard B002.Pin 7 of connector A and 9 of connector C of H005 are earthed.According to the function selected, stalk unit H005 (connector A) sends the following control signals to the wiper motor N015:- from pin 8 for fast operation;- from pin 9 for slow and/or intermittent operation,- pin 6, on the other hand, receives the earth signal coming from the motor end of travel cam which stops operation. The windscreen wiper motor N015 is then earthed. The steering column switch unit H005 windscreen washer switch, once activated, sends two signals from pins 10 and 12 of connector A which operate the windscreen washer pump N022 which turns sending the washer fluid to the windscreen wiper. The rain sensor housed in the mirror P65 receives a supply from the INT line protected by fuse F49 of the junction unit B002 and sends the automatic operating signal to pin 7 of connector D and pin 25 of connector B via the A-BUS serial line of the Body Computer M1 .    See E1060 A-BUS SERIAL LINEThe Body Computer M001 is connected via the CAN line to the instrument panel E050 to manage the "failure" warning light if there are problems with the rain sensor.
