194001453 - E3040 CENTRAL LOCKING - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The front doors locking/unlocking function is produced by the driver''s door N066 and passenger door M067 control units, whilst the function for the rear doors is carried out by the boot control unit M063. Alll the control units are managed via the B-CAN line by the Body Computer M001 which receives the opening/closing signals, at pins 24 and 25 (connector H) from the ignition device H003 (T.E.G. Reader).More specifically:- the Body Computer M001 interfaces on the B-CAN line going from pins 28 and 10 of connector D of the junction unit under the dashboard B002;- the driver''s front door M066 and passenger side M067 control units communicate at pins 15 and 16 of connector B;- the boot control unit M063, communicates at pins B7 and A7 of connector B.    See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINESControl units M066 and M067 receive a power supply at pin 11 of connector D from the line protected by fuse F32 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002 (pin 11 of connector D). The latter, via pin 13 of connector D, also supplies the control unit M063 at pin B8 of connector A, via the line protected by fuse F36.Control unit M066 and M067 receive, at pin 23 of connector B, the incoming locking signal from the knobs, from pin 6 of connector D a joint power supply is sent to the drives front door N050 and passenger front door N051 lock geared motors, from pin 4 (connector D) the locking/unlocking (B/S) motor is activated and from pin 3 (connector D) the dead lock motor (DL) is activated. Lastly, pin 19 of connector B for both control units is connected to the driver''s dashboard earth C015.Control unit M066 still receives, at pins 35 and 34 of connector A, the signals for the locking/unlocking buttons (respectively) located in the control panel on the tunnel H036 and communicates the boot and fuel flap opening commands at pins 12 and 5 of connector E.    See E3045 BOOT AND FUEL FLAP OPENINGThe boot control unit M063 receives the locking signal from the knobs at pin B4 of connectors A and B, from pins A7 of connector A and A2 of connector B the joint supplies for the motors for geared motor for the lock in the driver''s rear door N055 and passenger rear door N056 (respectively) is sent, from pins C7 of connector A and C2 of connector B the locking/unlocking (B/S) motors are activated, whilst from pins C6 of connector A and C4 of connector B the dead lock motors (DL) are activated. Lastly, pin C8 of connector A is connected with the driver''s side rear earth C030.The intervention of the inertia switch I050 is signalled at pin 17 of connector D of the Body Computer M001 controlling the opening of the doors in emergency situations (accident).
