194001564 - E3580 WIRING FOR CELL PHONE - OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION

The radio phone wiring junction D099 receives a direct power supply - pin 9 - from the battery via a line protected by fuse F39 of under-facia control unit B002.The control unit also receives a supply controlled by the ignition (INT from steering lock control unit) at pin 7 via the line protected by fuse F49 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002.Pins 1 and 3 of connector A of P020 are served by the CAN network that connects the radio to the Body Computer M001 (pins 24 and 25 of connector H) and to the other system nodes. Pin 8 of connector A is earthed.Steering wheel node control unit M093 supplies steering wheel control signals, where appropriate, via the CAN network thorough the junction of clock spring D047 (pins 3 and 4).Pin 8 receives the power supply with the side lights on from the Body Computer M1, pin 18 of connector H: the telephone, if fitted, is lit up like the other controls    See E2530 INSTRUMENT LIGHTINGPin 10 of junction D099 receives an analogue earth signal from P020 (pin 12 of connector D).Pins 4 and 3 of D099 provide the audio signal (+ and - respectively) for the radio P020 - pins 7 and 8 of connector D, which then controls the speakers.    See E3510 RADIOPin 1 of D099 is also connected to radio P020 - pin 9 of connector D - for the TEL MUTE function.
