194001677 - E6020 AIR CONDITIONER - OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION (RIGHT HAND DRIVE)

Manual climate control unit M070 is supplied by an ignition-operated supply (INT and INT/A of the steering lock control unit) at pins 19 and 17 respectively via lines protected by fuses F49 and F31 of under-dashboard junction unit B002. It is supplied directly from the battery at pin 25 via a line protected by fuse F39 of B002.Pin 23 of M070 is earthed.Pin 32 of control unit M070 controls activation of supplementary passenger compartment air relay J121 via an earth signal, which supplies an earth signal to control H081.Fan control H081 drives N085 at different speeds by means of regulator O030: the control signal varies according to the position of the knob and thus the number of resistances it passes through, determining three different voltage signals for fan N085, which thus turns at three different speeds.Pin 31 of control unit M070 controls activation of maximum passenger compartment air speed relay J041 via an earth signal, which closes to cut out adjustment resistance O030.The recirculation actuator N082 is operated by the control unit M070 from pins 20 and 22.Distribution actuator N080 is controlled by control unit M070 from pins 4 and 5. It receives power to control the potentiometer from pin 29 of M070, a reference earth from pin 8 of M070 and sends a feedback signal to pin 27 of M070.Distribution actuator N081 is controlled by control unit M070 from pins 1 and 21. It receives power to control the potentiometer from pin 13 of M070, a reference earth from pin 7 of M070 and sends a feedback signal to pin 26 of M070.Fan N085 is supplied directly from the battery via a line protected by relay T8 and protected by fuse F8 in the engine compartment junction unit B001.Pin 16 of M070 controls the engagement of the compressor.    See E6021 COMPRESSOR ENGAGEMENTThe heated rear window controls are connected to pins 14 and 30 of M070.    See E3030 HEATED REAR WINDSCREEN AND DOOR MIRROR DEFROSTINGPin 28 of M070 receives the +light signal for the dimmed lighting of the symbols inside the control unit.    See E2530 INSTRUMENT LIGHTING
