194001682 - E6020 AIR CONDITIONER - OPERATING DESCRIPTION (AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING)

The climate control system control unit M070 receives an ignition controlled power supply (INT and INT/A from the steering lock control unit) at pins 14 and 13 of connector A respectively via the lines protected by fuses F49 and F31 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002; it receives a direct supply from the battery at pin 11 via the line protected by fuse F39 of B002.The control unit M070 is connected, via the CAN line, from pins 1 and 10 of connector A, to the Body Computer M001 and to the other nodes. The sensors K111 (right lower treated air) and K113 (left lower treated air), K110 (right upper treated air) and K112 (left upper treated air) are connected to the control unit M070. these sensors receive a reference earth from pin 17 of connector B and send the respective signal ato pins 18, 1, 2, 19 of connector B of M070.The exhaust gas sensor (AQS) K064 receives a power supply directly from the battery via the line protected by fuse F35 of the junction unit B002 and sends its own signal to pin 6 of the connecor for control unit M070.The solar sensor K090 informs the control unit of the heat coming from the sun''s rays: it receives a reference earth from the control unit M070 - pin 9 of connector A - and returns two signals to the control unit: to pin 8 of connector A for the left zone and pin 18 of connector A for the right zone. The air condtioning system has an actuator for recirculation (N082), two for air mixing (N078 and N079) and for distribution (N113 and N112).The recirculation actuator N082 is operated by the control unit M070 from pins 30 and 31 of connector B.The air mixture actuators N078 and N079 are connected to the control unit M070 at pins 9, 10, 25, 26 and pins 11, 12, 27, 28 of connector B; both receive a power supply from pin 29 of connector B of M070.The air distribution actuators N113 and N112 are connected to the control unit M070 at pins 7, 8, 23, 24 and pins 3, 4, 5, 6 of connector B; they tooh receive a power supply from pin 29 of connector B of M070.The fan N085 (with built in electronic speed adjustment) receives a power supply directly from the battery via the line protected by fuse F2 of the engine compartment junction unit B001.It receives an input signal for the different speeds from pin 14 of connector B of M070 and returns a feedback signal at pin 13 of M070.The sensor which measures the outside temperature is located on the door mirror P060: it is connected to pins 2 and 6 of connector E of the driver''s door control unit M066 which sensds the corresponding signal to the other nodes via the CAN - pins 15 and 16 of connector B.Pin 7 of connector A of M070 controls the engagement of the compressor.    See E6021 COMPRESSOR ENGAGEMENTThe control for the heated rear windsreen is connected at pin 4 of connector A of M070.    See E3030 HEATED REAR WINDSCREEN AND DOOR MIRROR DEFROSTING The control for the additional heater is connected at pin 17 of connector A of M070.    See E6015 ADDITIONAL HEATER
