Follow all the recommended safety instructions (see 5580C - Precautions).

    Op. 7040A30 LEFT LOWER DASHBOARD TRIM - R.R.1. Undo the nuts fixing the clutch master cylinder to the pedals. 1. Undo the clip (1a) and release master cylinder pushrod (1b) from the clutch pedal. 1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the ABS electronic and hydraulic control unit.

2. Unscrew the bolts securing the ABS hydraulic and electronic control unit brackets. - Raise the ABS hydraulic and electronic control unit with bracket as far as necessary.1. Lift the retaining clip (1a) and disconnect the clutch hydraulic circuit vibration damper (1b), clutch master cylinder side.

Recover any brake-clutch fluid that emerges.

2. Disconnect the flexible pipe from the clutch reservoir to the master cylinder, master cylinder side.- Remove the gasket. 1. Withdraw and remove the clutch master cylinder. Refitting ( Removing ) - Refit the clutch master cylinder in position.- Connect the flexible pipe from clutch reservoir to master cylinder, master cylinder side (press fit without collar).

Ensure the gasket is present and correctly positioned.Do not use mineral grease.

1. Fit the retaining collar (1a) fully, then fit the clutch hydraulic circuit vibration damper (1b) on the clutch master cylinder until the clip fastens. - Refit the ABS hydraulic and electronic control unit with bracket.- Tighten the bolts securing the ABS hydraulic and electronic control unit brackets to the specified torque.

- Connect the electrical connection to the ABS electronic and hydraulic control unit.- Connect the clutch master cylinder push rod to the pedal by doing up the clip.1. Tighten the nuts fixing the clutch master cylinder to the pedal assembly to the recommended torque.
