) - Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and extract it.- Open the bonnet. Op. 5530B40 SUPPLY BOX ON BATTERY (LINK BATTERY AND FUSE BOX) - R R1. Remove the protective battery cover, lifting it up and releasing it from the two retaining pins underneath.

1. Open the lever (1a) and detach the negative battery terminal (1b).

Take care whilst opening the lever on account of the release device.

- Remove the protective cover for the supply casing.1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the battery retaining bracket (1b).

1. Unscrew the power supply casing anchorage bolts2. Undo the nut fixing the positive terminal.3. Disconnect the power supply casing and move out of the working area.

1. Remove the battery from the engine compartment.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Check that the battery is not damaged and check it is working properly.- Place the battery on the drip tray.- Position the battery retaining bracket and tighten the two fixing bolts.- Position the power supply casing in its seat, tighten the anchorage bolts and the positive terminal nut.- Fit the casing protective cover.

1. Fit terminal (1a) on the battery negative contact, press fully home and tighten lever (1b).

- Place the protective battery cover in position and press it to secure it to the pins underneath.
