194003944 - 1068AC ACCELERATOR PEDAL CHECKS

CHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
Press the START/STOP button and turn off the engine. With the engine off, all users off and the accelerator pedal not operated, the accelerator pedal value should be 0%.Under the same conditions, the value of accelerator pedal position 1 AD/C should be less than 1 V and accelerator pedal position 2 AD/C less than 0.5 VMove on to Step 4
With the accelerator pedal slightly operated, the value of accelerator pedal postion 1 AD/C must be greater than 1 V and accelerator pedal position 2 AD/C greater than 0.5 VMove on to Step 4
With the accelerator pedal pushed down to the floor, accelerator pedal value must be greater than 90%.Under the same conditions, the value of accelerator pedal position 1 AD/C should be greater than 3 V and accelerator pedal position 2 AD/C greater than 1.5 VThe test can be considered overMove on to Step 4
Press the START/STOP button and turn off the engine.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the accelerator pedal potentiometer    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERPress the START/STOP button. Measure the voltage between Pin 2 of the solenoid wiring side connector and Earth. Ensure it is greater than 4.8 kOhm.    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERMove on to Step 6Move on to Step 5
If faults are present, repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine control unit and the accelerator pedal potentiometer.    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTThe test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
Measure the voltage between Pins 2 and 4 of the potentiometer to ensure they are in the range between 4.8 and 5.2 V    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERMove on to Step 5
Press the START/STOP button.Connect a cable upstream with a fuse between pins 4 and 3 of the potentiometer    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERPress the START/STOP button.Check that accelerator pedal position 1 AD/C is less than 0.3 VMove on to Step 5
Press the START/STOP button.Disconnect the cable upstream and reconnect between pins 2 and 3 of the potentiometer    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERPress the START/STOP button.Check that accelerator pedal position 1 AD/C is greater than 4.8 VMove on to Step 5
Measure the voltage between Pin 1 of the potentiometer and Earth. Ensure it is greater than 4.8 V.    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERMove on to Step 5
Measure the voltage between Pins 1 and 5 of the potentiometer to ensure they are in the range between 4.8 and 5.2 V    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERMove on to Step 5
Press the START/STOP button.Connect the cable upstream as a shunt between pins 5 and 6 of the potentiometer    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERPress the START/STOP button.Check that accelerator pedal position 2 AD/C is less than 0.3 VMove on to Step 5
Press the START/STOP button.Disconnect the cable upstream and reconnect between pins 1 and 6 of the potentiometer    See K055 ACCELERATOR PEDAL POTENTIOMETERPress the START/STOP button.Check that accelerator pedal position 2 AD/C is greater than 4.8 VMove on to Step 5
