Steering lock control unit M089 controls and governs the entire electrically-controlled steering column lock system.A direct power supply from control unit M089 - pin C1 - reaches the battery via a line protected by fuse F3 of engine compartment junction unit B001. Pin A4 of M089 is earthed.According to the rotation of the key in ignition H003, steering lock control unit M089 receives the following signals:- at pin A6, a key inserted signal (TEG_IN);- at pin B5, a signal to indicate the key is turned ON (TEG_MAR);- at pin C5, an initial start-up signal with the key is turned to START (TEG_Crank1);- at pin C6, the second start-up signal with the key is turned to START (TEG_Crank2);Ignition device H003 - pins 1 and 2 - communicates via the CAN network with steering lock control unit M089 - pins A2 and A3 - to enable steering release after recognising the TEG up on its insertion in the reader.Steering lock control unit M089 receives signal from the NC and NO contacts on brake pedal I030 at pins C4 and C7 respectively. See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTThe signal indicating the correct positon of the gear lever (PARK) is sent from automatic transmission control unit M055 (pin 5 of connector A) to pin B4 of steering lock control unit M089.According to the position of the key in ignition H003, steering lock control unit M089 receives the following signals:- INT, from pin A1 of underfacia junction unit B002 - pin 11 of connector H;- INT/A, from pin C8 of underfacia junction unit B002 - pin 1 of connector H;- 15/54, from pin B1 of engine compartment junction unit B001 - pin 30 of connector A -;- +50, from pin B8 to starter motor A020.For further details, See E1010 POWER SUPPLY See E5010 STARTING AND RECHARING
