) - Position the driveshaft in a vice fitted with protective jaws.1. Remove the bands securing the protective boot using a suitable tool.2. Turn the boot upsidedown to uncover the three-lobe joint.

1. Use an appropriate drift (1a) and mallet to disconnec the inner differential drive shaft (1b) from the drive shaft.

1. Remove the circlip securing the three-lobed joint.2. Use an appropriate drift (2a) and mallet to remove the three lobed joing (2b) from the front drive shaft.- Remove the gaiter from the front drive shaft.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Fit a new protective boot on the driveshaft.- Use an appropriate fitting tool to install the three-lobed joint in its seat on the drive shaft.- Place a new circlip in position to secure the three-lobed joint.- Pack the joint and the boot with the specified grease.

- Using a suitable drift, fit the inner differential driveshaft on the front driveshaft.- Place the boot back in its housing.- Fit two new bands securing the boot using a suitable tool.- Remove the front driveshaft from the vice fitted with protective jaws.
