194001758 - E7050 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The automatic transmission control unit M055 controls and regulates the entire gearbox management system. The direct power supply (+30) arrives via the line protected by fuse F18 of the engine compartment junction unit B001, at pin 11 of connector A of the automatic transmission control unit M055 and at pin 9 of the gear selector control unit M053.The ignition controlled supply (15/54) for the steering lock control unit reaches pin 1 of connector A of M055 and pin 1 of the gear selector control unit M053 via the line protected by fuse F24 of the engine compartment junction unit B001.The passenger side dashboard earth C020 is connected at pin 2 of the gear selector control unit M053.The gear selector control unit M053, via pins 4-6, 7-5 and the automatic transmission control unit M055, via pins 8-14, 7-6, communicates via the C-CAN interfacing at pins 36, 37 of the Body Computer control unit.    See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINESThe Body Computer also transmits, via pins 6 and 5, the signals for the operating state of the gearbox to the instrument panel display E050, via the B-CAN.The reversing sensor is present at pin 13 of connector A of the automatic transmission control unit M055.    See E2022 REVERSING LIGHTSPin 5 of connector A of the automatic transmission control unit M055 is connected directly to pin B4 of the steering lock control unit M089. Its function is to inhibit the starting of the vehicle. The pins for connector B of the automatic transmission control unit M055 have a pin-to-pin connection at the pins for the automatic transmission solenoid valve unit L050.The autodiagnostic system for control unit M055 is achieved by onnecting to connector C of the Body Computer M001 (pin 7): it receives signals from pin 4 of connector A of control unit M055 via the special diagnostic line (K LINE).    See E8010 DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR
