194002313 - 0010T82 DIESEL SYSTEM - BLEED WATER FROM DIESEL FILTER RESEVOIR

If the presence of water in the fuel filer is revealed on the vehicle display, bleed as soon as possible.
- Position the vehicle on a lift.- Turn key on without starting the engine.
This operation pressurises the fuel filter.
    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.- Disconnect the electrical connection from the water presence sensor on the fuel filter.Fit a pipe of appropriate length to the pipe section on the wate presence sensor on the fuel filter to allow fluid to be drained into a suitable container after bleeding.- Loosen the water presence sensor on the fuel filter.
Carry out this action gradually, taking care to check that the amount of fuel expelled is between 75 and 80 cc
- Tighten the water sensor on the fuel filter.- Examine the expelled fluid: if it contains water without evident traces of diesel, repeat the bleeding operation.- If traces of diesel appear, repeating the bleeding operation ensures that the fuel filter does not contain any more water.- Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.- Connect the electrical connection to the water presence sensor on the fuel filter.- Check that no more leaks are present in the lower part of the fuel filter after running the engine for one minute.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
