194002910 - Y070 P2011 - FLOW-RATE VALVE

The diagnostic equipment signals: Error P2011 (flow valve).
This error is detected if there is a break in the circuit connected to Pin 19 and 6 of the junction unit for at least 0.22 secs.
1Check for break in electrical power supply circuitALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.Disconnect the cable loom connector from the flow modifying solenoid valve.    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVETurn the ignition key to the ON position.Measure the voltage between Pin 1 (wiring side) of the solenoid valve and earth, checking that it is more than 11 V    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVEMove on to Step 2Voltage lower than 11 VMove on to Step 6
2Check insulation to +Vbatt of signal electrical circuitALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.Disconnect the cable loom connector from Connector B of the engine management control unit.    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUTurn the ignition key to the ON position.Measure the voltage between Pin 2 (wiring side) of the solenoid valve and earth, checking that it is less than 0.3 V    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVEMove on to Step 3Short circuit to +Vbatt between flow valve and engine management control unitRestore correct electrical connections.Replace the wiring if necessary
3Check insulation to earth of signal electrical circuitALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.Measure the resistance between Pin 2 (wiring side) of the solenoid valve and earth, checking that it is more than 500 kOhm    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVEMove on to Step 4Short circuit to earth between flow valve and engine management control unitRestore correct electrical connections.Replace the wiring if necessary
4Check on continuity of signal electrical circuitALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Measure the resistance between Pin 2 (wiring side) of the solenoid valve and Pin 6 (wiring side) of Connector B of the junction unit, checking that it is less than 5 Ohm    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVE    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUMove on to Step 5Open circuit between flow valve and engine management control unitRestore correct electrical connections.Replace the wiring if necessary
5Replacement of flow valveALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Replace the flow valve and check that the problem disappears    Op. 1072B60 THROTTLE SHAFT CONTROL VALVE FOR INLET PORTS R REnd of diagnosisThe fault persistsRestore the original solenoid valve and replace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
6Check for break in electrical power supply circuitALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.Disconnect the cable loom connector from Connector A of the engine management control unit.    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUExtract the relay T9 from the socket in the engine compartment junction unit.    See B001 IGNITION SWITCH NOT WORKINGConnect a bridge with a fuse to Pins 87 and 30 of the socket for relay T9.Measure the voltage between Pin 72 Connector A (wiring side) of the control unit and earth, checking that it is more than 11 V    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECUMove on to Step 7Open circuit between engine compartment junction unit and engine management control unitRestore correct electrical connections.Replace the wiring if necessary
7Restore electrical connectionsALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
If the wiring between the control unit and the solenoid valve is faulty, restore the correct connections    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU    See L064 FLOW MODIFYING SOLENOID VALVEEnd of diagnosisThe wiring is not faultyReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - .R
