1Check whether any of the errors are present using the diagnostic equipment:

  • P2149 – Unit 2 injector control (injectors 2-5)
  • P2151 – Unit 2 injector control (injectors 2-5)
Move on to Step 21

2Turn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage between Pin 2 of engine management control unit connector B    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITand earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine managment control unit and injector 2    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
3Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the resistance between pin 2 of control unit connector B    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITand earth is greater than 500 kOhm. Move on to Step 7Move on to Step 4
4Disconnect the cable loom connector from injector 2.Check that the resistance between pin 2 of control unit connector B    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITand Earth is more than 500 kOhm.Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
5Check that the resistance between pin 31 of control unit connector B    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITand Earth is more than 500 kOhm.Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
6Replace the injector. The test is complete
7Disconnect the cable loom connector from injector 2.Check that the resistance between pins 2 and 31 of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT CONTROL UNITis greater than 500 kOhmRepair or, if necessary, replace the wiring for the engine management control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT

10Check that the resistance between pins 1 and 2 of injector 2    See N070 INJECTORis between 0.3 and 0.7 OhmReplace the injector
