| 1 | Turn the ignition key OFF.Clean the diesel filter and replace if necessary Op. 1044B10 FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY - R + R OR REPLACETurn the ignition key ON.Select the following system on the diagnostic equipment: Diesel EDC16C39 electronic injection system.Check that error P2264 - Water in diesel filter is "Present" | Water actually present in diesel filter.Check there is no water in the fuel tank.Clean the tank if necessary |
| 2 | Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the temperature sensor and fuel heater coil and from engine control unit connector A.Turn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage across pin 1 of the control unit See K031 WATER IN DIESEL FILTER SENSORand the earth is greater than 0.3 V. | Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the water presence sensor and the engine control unit See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT |
