194002508 - K126 DISPLAY DOES NOT SHOW AVERAGE SPEED ON TRIP MODULE

With the key ON, the average speed reading on the display (one of the displays on the TRIP COMPUTER module) is not operational.
The display provides the average speed processed by the instrument panel node according to the distance travelled and journey time information.
If the speed information (from the brake node) is missing, the consumption data will be replaced by the reading "----"

Connect an EXAMINER and check the following on CAN NETWORK INFORMATION:

  • No control units inactive
  • No faulty control units
  • No control units with faulty CAN line
Move on to Step 21. Fault on CAN network1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2. Communication impossible with the Body Computer2. Move on to Step 8

Keeping the diagnostic instrument connected, check the following on the BRAKE NODE:

  • No system/component errors
  • No CAN faults
